About Ernest
Hi hopeful learners, my name is teacher Ernest. I have been teaching English language for more than 15 years. I have taught students from Cuba, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the United Kingdom. One of my students is currently based in the UK. As a non-native English speaker I have first-hand experience when it comes to learning a language. This means I am able to empathise with students and understand their journey better than most. I also have a more in-depth understanding of grammar and how the English language works than the average native speaker because I have studied it, both as a learner and on my TEFL course.
Coming from a country that places special emphasis on speaking English language I have spoken the language all my life. I have also spent some time living and working in the United Kingdom, where I learnt a lot from the special people I met and interacted with. My time there, and especially at my work place, brought me into contact with a lot of people from other European countries, South America, Asia, and Africa. Here I developed my communication skills which I still use today to teach others.

My lessons are fun-filled and enjoyable. I specialize in sculpting student-centered sessions, fostering speaking skills and spurring successful language acquisition. Since each individual comes with their own special needs, my lessons are tailor-made to meet everybody's unique needs. I have a B.ed Arts (English and History), and TEFL (120-Hour Advanced ) certificates. My lessons last between 25 and 50 minutes and they are designed for all ages.
