I use an interactive style of teaching, it is important that I interact with my student in the class. Our brains get bored easily especially if it is something that we do not know or unfamiliar with. So to make a lesson or learning enjoyable for the student, I can use their background, for example basing my questions around their culture, which is something they are familiar with. I also like to ask questions, so that I can know they are attentive, this will help them to take a lea of the discussion and improve their confidence.
I also incorporate flashcards. For kids I use songs or cartoons as part of my teaching style.. This will improve their learning experience.
A typical lesson plan involves, the name of the subject, introduction, objective of the lesson and summary and evaluation , Evaluation is to check learners understanding of the topic , it can be a quiz, homework or classwork.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am patient, a hard worker and very passionate with teaching.
My lessons are aimed at elementary students and middle class, these are young children between the ages of 5 to 13 years old.
