About Hannah
I am a University of Auckland graduate in the process of completing my Master's. I majored in English Literature and Geography. I received an award for academic excellence in my second year of University. Additionally, I have had previous tutoring experience. I have previously taught English Literature, English Language and Geography.

A little bit about myself first;
I am a post graduate student from the University of Auckland currently studying a Master's in Environmental Management. However, during my undergrad years I studied English Literature and Geography. Throughout my studies, I gained academic success and received an award in my second year of study for academic excellence. However, I not only enjoyed pursuing academia, I also enjoyed sharing my passion for learning with other students.
Whilst I was studying in New Zealand, I was constantly tutoring high school students as a part time job. Therefore, I have previous experience in tutoring and an inherent passion for teaching and mentoring students.
My teaching methodology;
I like to ensure that all of my students feel comfortable and confident. I focus on building upon a student's strong points and working on their proposed weaknesses.
I understand that all student's learn differently, so I cater my lessons around what a student feels most comfortable with.
In my lessons I find it helpful to first look at a student's previous work in order to ascertain their level of learning and skill. This enables me to create a lesson which is suitable for that particular student.
I also enjoy enabling a student to tackle hard, complex novels or otherwise difficult projects. I strive to prove to a student how fun and engaging English Literature can really be.
