About Harry

I am a Graduate Engineer with five years of tutoring experience, teaching students from primary school through to A Level. I sat the 11 Plus myself, so I understand the challenges students face and the confidence they need to succeed. I tutor because I enjoy helping children realise their potential and take pride in seeing their progress. My engineering background gives me a structured, logical approach to teaching that helps students understand topics clearly and perform at their best.

About the lesson

My 11 Plus lessons are structured, engaging and focused on long-term understanding. Each session lasts one hour and covers either Maths, English, Verbal or Non-Verbal Reasoning. I place a strong emphasis on building confidence and developing exam technique through clear explanations, targeted practice and timed mock questions. With five years of tutoring experience, first-hand success in the 11 Plus and a background in engineering, I teach from first principles to ensure genuine comprehension rather than lacklustre rote-learning. Each lesson is carefully adapted to the child’s pace and ability, helping them strengthen accuracy, speed and critical thinking. Lessons are delivered online in a calm and supportive environment that allows students to approach their entrance exams with confidence and composure.
