About Jody
I am a passionate educator, world traveler, and dedicated volunteer with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Throughout my career, I’ve combined my love for teaching with a deep commitment to service and cultural exploration. I have taught in classrooms across the U.S. and have extended my impact globally by volunteering in countries such as Malawi, Thailand, Zimbabwe, and Peru—often helping to build schools, lead art programs, and support underserved communities. My global experiences have shaped my teaching philosophy: that every child deserves a quality education and the opportunity to grow in a nurturing, creative environment. With over 20 years of experience as an educator, I specialize in tutoring students in grades K–5 by providing personalized, engaging, and effective lessons tailored to each child’s unique learning style.
