About Lewis
Hi, I recently graduated from the University of Manchester studying Business Management and Spanish. I was taught Economics and Business in a very methodical way which helped me get A's in both A-levels, I strongly believe I can pass this way of thinking about the subject onto my students, providing the essential foundations to study the course content like a top student would. With regards to Spanish, nobody in my family comes from a Spanish speaking background, I also have no background in learning other languages other than English. This means I think like a Spanish learner, not a native speaker, so I will know exactly what you will be struggling with and not over brush over things too briefly like some school teachers do. I know what it takes to learn grammar structures, vocabulary and I'm also very familiar with the cultural side of the Spanish course.

I will work systematically through the course content lists with the student (these lists are usually provided by the exam boards). I will focus on parts of the course that my student finds the most confusing, whether that is suggested by the student themselves or if we find knowledge gaps when going through the content lists. The key to learning content properly is through practising in exam stye questions, so at the end of learning content we will go through questions until the point where the student is able to explain the content to me in a role reversal where the student has mastered the specific content. I will help the student with memorising information, especially with Spanish vocabulary and mathematical formulas in Business and Economics. I will measure progress by comparing their answers to exemplar work from top students, using mark schemes to help reach their full academic potential.
