As a dedicated science teacher specialising in Biology, I focus on making complex concepts clear, engaging, and relevant to everyday life. My teaching approach is student-centred, adapting each lesson to suit the individual’s learning style, pace, and goals. I believe confidence is key in science, so I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding step by step.
I use a combination of clear explanations, visual aids, exam-style questions, and active recall techniques to reinforce learning. Lessons often include:
Breaking down difficult topics into manageable sections
Use of diagrams, real-life examples, and analogies
Regular knowledge checks to track progress
Exam practice with structured feedback to improve technique
Focus on key GCSE command words and mark schemes
I also emphasise building strong revision habits and effective exam strategies, helping students not just learn content but perform well under exam conditions.
