About Makenzi
I am currently biomedical sciences graduate student, so I have been a student for a long time and taken multiple math and science classes.
I have been tutoring for the past four years in math (algebra, calculus), science (chemistry, physics, biology/biochemistry), and writing. However, I have the most experience with algebra, chemistry and biology.
My favorite thing about math is that it is predictable. Once you understand how it works, it just comes down to identifying patterns. Science is similar in that concepts are reapplied in different scenarios.

As a tutor I will help you assess your weaknesses in a specific subject/topic and develop a personalized approach to turn them into strengths. In my experience, application and consistency are key!
A session may look like identifying where the confusion is, solving it by getting to the root of it, and applying strategies that reiterate proper understanding.
