About Simin
My philosophy towards learning has always been that a teacher’s job is not only to teach subject material but to foster a mutual trust with their students. As a student, I empathize with the struggles of learning math as I myself had to overcome those difficulties. However, as a teacher, I will strive to build up my students confidence and have them trust themselves as much as I do. I firmly believe that a positive attitude and willingness to learn is more than enough to excel in the subject.

I am passionate about setting middle and high school students up for success for high school and university. As a student, I have experienced the struggle of lacking confidence in math and how it culminates into a negative outlook on the subject. I will seek to ensure every session not only identifies areas of struggle but also reaffirms their strengths as a student. Additionally, I will make sure I build strong skills in basic foundations. Through this, my students will be able to look at a problem and identify the familiarities rather than becoming overwhelmed by what they will learn later on.
