About Mer

I am a dedicated and reliable math tutor with experience working with students from Grade 1 to Grade 10. I currently tutor students in my school, including Grade 9 and Grade 10 math, which allows me to stay familiar with the curriculum and understand the challenges students commonly face. My experience has helped me develop a patient, clear, and adaptable teaching style that supports students at different learning levels.

I take pride in creating a respectful and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. I am well-prepared for each session, explain concepts clearly, and focus on helping students not only improve their grades but also develop a stronger understanding of math.

I am committed to being professional, punctual, and supportive, ensuring that each student receives the attention and guidance they need to succeed.

About the lesson

I take a patient, step-by-step approach to tutoring, helping students truly understand the “why” behind each concept instead of just memorizing steps. I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style; using visuals, breaking problems down, and practicing together until they feel confident working independently. I also create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by clear explanations of new concepts with examples. We then work through practice questions together before moving on to independent practice, where I guide and support as needed. I end each session with a recap to reinforce learning and identify any areas that need more attention.

What sets me apart is that I tutor students within my school, especially in Grade 9 and Grade 10 math, so I understand the curriculum and common challenges students face. At the same time, I work with students from Grade 1 to Grade 10, allowing me to adjust my teaching for different levels and build strong foundations early on.

My lessons are for students from Grade 1 to Grade 10, whether they need help with basic skills, homework support, test preparation, or improving their overall confidence and performance in math.
