About Rajveer Singh

Hi! My name is Rajveer Singh, and I’m a high school student who is passionate about mathematics, science, and helping others learn.

I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I try to make my lessons relaxed, encouraging, and easy to understand. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand why something works so they can solve similar problems independently.

I have a strong academic background, particularly in mathematics and science, and I have participated in Waterloo mathematics competitions, earning top placements at my school. I also have experience in leadership through my school and Air Cadets, where I have learned how to communicate clearly, work with different people, and take responsibility.

Whether you are struggling with a topic, preparing for a test, or looking to get ahead in your class, I will work with you at your own pace and adapt my teaching to your needs.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

I believe tutoring should be about understanding, not memorizing. My goal is to make difficult topics feel simple by breaking them down into smaller steps and explaining them in a way that makes sense to each student.

I first figure out what the student already understands and where they are struggling. From there, I adapt my explanations, use examples, diagrams, practice questions, and step-by-step problem solving to help them build confidence.

A Typical Lesson

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and a discussion of what the student finds difficult. We then work through the topic together, starting with the fundamentals before moving toward more challenging questions.

I like to have students attempt problems themselves while I guide them when they get stuck. At the end, we review the key ideas and identify anything they should practise before the next lesson.

What Sets Me Apart

I’m a student myself, so I understand what it is like to encounter a topic that seems confusing at first. I focus on explaining concepts in a straightforward way rather than simply giving students the answer. I also have experience in teaching as I am a Flight Sergeant in my local air cadets unit and teach younger cadets all the time.

I’m especially passionate about mathematics and enjoy helping students develop both their problem-solving skills and their confidence.
