About Helena
My name is Helena, I work full time in an investment bank but also teach music on the side. I have played electric guitar for 20 years, initially teaching myself and subsequently taught by Rockschool where I obtained grades 2, 5 and 8.

My approach to teaching is to create a calm environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and ask questions. Rather than restarting a song when making mistakes, I encourage students to continue until the end. I also like to make lessons fun by encouraging learning about music history and the instrument itself.
