About Jelle
Hey, my name is Jelle and I've always had a big passion for math and physics. These subjects have determined my path throughout education. In high school I chose for as much science and math classes as possible, and after this I obtained my bachelor's degree in physics. I've also followed the honours programme of the faculty of science at KU Leuven, for which I joined a research group in nuclear physics for a year. Now, I'm in the second year of my master's in theoretical physics, my biggest interest and the subject of my thesis is cosmology.
Thanks to my studies, I have an extensive knowledge of mathematics and physics. I would like to use this knowledge to help other students, and possibly even let them enjoy these subjects. I have been happily tutoring various subjects for 3 years now, mostly to students in secondary school or undergraduates.

The lessons are of course structured differently depending on the student and subject, but when I tutor, I often first give the necessary theory in the most intuitive way possible. I am not a fan of lengthy definitions, but much prefer to use metaphors and similes. After that, I think it's important to just practice a lot, because that's the best way to learn math or physics in my experience. I am also very flexible and always well prepared to, for example, update any prior knowledge.

Mijn dochter heeft discalculie en het is voor haar telkens een dagelijkse strijd om te kunnen bijbenen met de leerstof. Jelle luistert, stuurt en maakt stappenplannen op maat.
