About Mason
I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Painting and a concentration in Literary Arts and Studies. In school, I worked in the admissions office as the student manager, and upon graduating, I was hired as a full-time admissions officer. I worked in the office until moving to New York to continue to pursue painting. I currently work as a studio assistant for a painter in Brooklyn and Paris. For the last two years, I have been a reviewer at New York's National Portfolio Day and have seen hundreds of student portfolios.
I do not represent the Rhode Island School of Design and only provide my personal insight and knowledge.

Are you in the process of applying to art school? As a RISD graduate and former admissions officer, I know what makes a strong portfolio! I will give holistic advice on your portfolio by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and what may be missing. I will give individual critiques on each piece within a portfolio, explaining where and how improvements can be made. We can then follow up after initial reviews to discuss your progress. I will walk you through my own portfolio I used to apply and tell you what I wished I knew. I am here to help and answer your questions regarding the application process.
