About Naomi

My name is Naomi, and I really care about helping students feel more confident in English, especially when it starts to feel confusing or overwhelming. I focus on reading, writing, grammar, and literature, and I try to make everything feel more straightforward and less stressful than it usually seems in class.

I have done theatre and performing all my life, so I know how much children need somebody who is calm and teaches step-by-step and especially somebody who is patient. I don’t rush students, and I always try to make sure they feel comfortable asking questions, even the “simple” ones. I also like keeping things a bit relaxed, because I find students learn better when they’re not stressed or afraid of getting things wrong.

Outside of tutoring, I’m involved in a youth leadership organization where I serve as president of a local club. I help lead meetings, organize activities, and support younger members. It’s taught me how to communicate clearly, stay organized, and encourage people in a genuine way, all things I bring into my tutoring.

Overall, I want students to feel like English is something they can actually handle. My goal isn’t just better marks for you but real understanding and confidence that can help you in your career.

About the lesson

I help students build strong, confident English skills by breaking everything down into clear, manageable steps. My focus is on reading, writing, grammar, and literature, and I make sure each concept actually makes sense before we move on. I adapt my teaching style to each student, whether they need more structure, more practice, or just help understanding assignments.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review, then we focus on one key skill like essay writing, reading analysis, or grammar. We work through examples together, and then I guide the student through practice so they can apply it on their own. I always finish with simple feedback and clear next steps so they know exactly what to work on.

My lessons are for middle school and high school students who want to improve their grades, feel more confident in English, or get better at writing essays, understanding texts, and using grammar correctly.
