About Megan

I’m Megan and I’m 18 years old originally from Bristol, but now studying a Geography degree at the University of Sheffield! I have a huge passion for Geography and look to work in the fields of international development and humanitarian aid in the future. Having tutored at GCSE student during my time in Sixth Form, I feel I have knowledge to share that can help others achieve their goals and seeing that student gain a result 2 grades higher than her original mock result showed that the time we spent was worth while! I feel that in the education system it is hard to gain the attention that each individual student needs and so many students are unable to reach their full potential when in reality it is so achievable, sometimes they just need a little more guidance and I aim to provide that.

About the lesson

I would look to work with the student to identify areas they feel are weakest, whether that be understanding content in general, essay writing or even revision! I can explain any geographical concept and help to pinpoint specific content to revise. I can help to create essay plans and develop exam technique so the student will feel confident on their own in an exam setting.

Megan is an amazing and patient teacher and is her perseverance and persistence is incredible when you are stuck on something! She taught me some of the sections of geography are more difficult than others, but taught in the same amazing way and found a way of getting through! Highly recommend for anyone who is determined to get that A* :)
