About Emma
I am a genetics and biological sciences student at NCSU. I have been tutoring and mentoring since middle school. I have taught group lessons as big as 30 students since middle school. Overall in 7 years, I have taught or mentored over 800 students. I have a passion for science of all types and teaching is one of my favorite things.

My teaching methodology is adaptive to my students. I tend to begin with evaluations and based on the amount of actual content needed to review and the number of students I have, I will change plans. Hands-on experience and understanding are the focus of my methodology. Lecturing kids won't help them understand, but working through examples, relating the information to the real world, and absorbing the information will.
