About Josephine
I graduated with Highest Honors from Swarthmore College (3.84 GPA) where I studied biology, French, and Spanish while on the pre-med track. I am currently a researcher in a genetics lab at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, so I am knee-deep in the practical applications of biological and chemical principles taught in school. I was awarded a Fulbright study grant to France in 2021, so I am also here to help with your foreign language needs! Fluency in French and Spanish has provided me with an outlet for creativity and expression, which has been a very important part of my academic development -- I love spreading passion for both the sciences and the humanities, and I think that with the right perspective you can see that they go hand in hand!

As a student at Swarthmore, I tutored for the Dean's Office because I love helping students reach their goals and improve their academic confidence! My lessons are customized to the student in level, style, and frequency -- no topic is too big or too small for us to cover. I can teach any material in biology and chemistry from a middle school level to an undergraduate level, and I can teach all aspects of both French and Spanish from elementary grammar and vocabulary to advanced written and oral fluency. I am efficient and effective so that we don't waste valuable time, and I am flexible to your changing academic needs as the subject material changes.
