About Elva
你好！I’m Elva, a polytechnic student and lifelong lover of all things Chinese..from swoon-worthy Cdramas and catchy C-pop to the beauty of classical poetry. I used to see friends groan over Mandarin lessons, and it hit me: What if learning Chinese felt less like a chore and more like discovering a hidden passion? That’s why I want to teach. My goal? To turn those “I hate Chinese” sighs into “Wait, this is actually cool!” moments. Let’s make language learning fun, meaningful, and *yours*. 一起加油吧!

Is Chinese your least favorite subject? Well, I’m here to change that! I’ll adapt to your learning style — whether you learn best by seeing, hearing, or writing so that lessons actually make sense to you. We’ll use active recall to boost memory (basically, I’ll quiz you till you’re a pro) and create flashcards and notes to make revision way easier. I want learning to feel less like a chore and more like a win. Let’s make Chinese click together! Levels I teach: Primary School Secondary School - N/O (I took O's, scored an A)
