About Liam
Hi I'm Liam, I am currently studying Economics at the University of Nottingham. I love Maths with a passion and it's always been something I've been good at. I am 20 years old and only a few year out of school so I understand what you as students are going through making it even easier for me to get my points across. I am easy to talk to and will help with any kind of maths problem you require and try to come up with multiple techniques to find one that suits you. I enjoy Maths because there is always a right and wrong answer but there are so many ways to get to those answers that are intriguing. The best thing about Maths is the being able to check almost every answer.

I start by making sure you are happy and comfortable working with me and I lay out my plan for the lesson so we both know what is going on! With new students I start by trying to establish the topics which you wish to have some help with. Then the real fun starts, with each topic I will talk you through the theory behind the topic and help to increase your understanding of the questions you may have to answer. We can then talk through step by step processes to answering each type of questions and this is when you will start to see patterns emerging within questions.
We will then move onto some questions from past papers, others from text books and some harder ones that I have written myself. Most importantly I believe in 'error free maths', meaning the most important thing is CHECKING! So I will finish by teaching you techniques to help you check through your answers to make sure they are 100% correct! Finally, if we have multiple lessons I will always start the next session with a quick pop quiz on the session before so we can check on progress and make sure we are on track for the grade you wish to attain!
