About Maryam
Hi, I’m a friendly and patient maths tutor with almost 2 years of experience tutoring SATs students. I’ve helped students improve their confidence and understanding by explaining topics in a clear and simple way.
I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and I’m currently studying A-level Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Since I’m still studying myself, I understand the challenges students face and know how stressful exams and revision can feel. I also understand that every student learns differently, so I always adapt my teaching style to suit their needs.
My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student. I like to first identify which topics students struggle with, then work through them step by step until they feel more confident and comfortable. I believe building strong foundations is really important, as it helps students approach harder questions with more confidence.
I can help with topics like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and general exam practice. I also focus on improving problem-solving skills and exam technique so students can feel more prepared and perform better in tests.
I always aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel happy to ask questions without worrying about making mistakes. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning and improving.
My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their maths skills, and achieve the best results possible.
