About Lema

Hi! I’m Lema, a current A-level student studying Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. Having recently achieved strong GCSE results myself (8 A*s), I understand what it takes to perform well under exam pressure and how to simplify complex topics so they make sense. Because I’ve recently been through the exams myself, I know what examiners are looking for and how to explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense as I focus on clear, step by step methods and quick ways to pick up marks. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand the subjects they’re studying, not just memorise them as I have also tutored students face to face. My goal is to create a relaxed but focused learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, strengthen your understanding, or prepare for exams, I’ll prepare each lesson to your learning style and needs. I take pride in being patient, organised, and reliable, so you can always expect structured lessons and clear progress.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students understand the 'why' behind each topic rather than just memorising facts. My lessons are interactive, I encourage students to ask questions, explain their reasoning, and build confidence in tackling exam-style questions. Teaching Techniques and Methodology I begin by identifying the student’s current understanding and areas of weakness, then create a simple plan to strengthen those topics. I often use a mix of: Active recall and past paper practice for exam preparation. Step-by-step explanations for problem-solving questions. Short quizzes or recap activities at the end of each lesson to track progress. I also provide high-quality GCSE notes/flashcards that got me all 8s and 9s for these GCSE subjects (English lit, Separate sciences, Business, and Religious Education) Typical Lesson Length: Lessons are usually 1 hour long, 2 days a week. These lessons can be held either via Zoom or Google Meet (depending on student's preference). Qualifications and Experience: I am currently an A-level student studying Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, with strong GCSE results in these subjects. I have experience helping classmates and younger students improve their understanding and exam technique, particularly in Maths and Science. Who My Lessons Are For: My tutoring is designed for GCSE Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 students who want to boost their confidence, improve exam results, or strengthen their understanding of key topics in GCSE Maths
