About Shiv

Hi, I’m Shiv. I recently completed my GCSEs with nine 9s, one 8 and one 7, and now study at K.E.S Stratford. I know what it takes to succeed under pressure and I love helping students do the same. My lessons are clear, focused and tailored to each student’s goals — I break down tough topics, build confidence and share the strategies that got me top results.

Outside academics, I’m passionate about swimming, piano, fitness, community and volunteering. I enjoy challenging myself to improve every day. I bring the same energy and discipline from my hobbies into tutoring, helping students stay motivated while achieving their goals.

About the lesson

My Teaching Style

I believe learning should feel clear and motivating, not overwhelming. I break topics down into simple steps, use active recall and exam-style practice, and show students how to study smarter, not longer. These strategies helped me achieve nine 9s at GCSE, and I use them to help students build confidence and see real progress.

Lesson Structure

Most lessons are 1 hour and include explanation, practice and exam techniques. I can also adapt to shorter sessions for quick topic reviews, or longer sessions for exam preparation and revision. To make sure lessons are tailored, I will contact the student about a week before to ask which topics or areas they’d like me to focus on. This way, every session is prepared in advance and built around the student’s needs.

Why Learn with Me

Having just completed my GCSEs and now studying at K.E.S. Stratford, I know exactly how tough the new exams can feel. I’ve supported friends and classmates to improve their grades by making concepts easier to understand and keeping revision focused. I also enjoy helping students push past self-doubt and realise they’re capable of more than they think.

Who I Teach

My lessons are mainly for GCSE students (Yr 10 and 11) aiming to improve grades and exam confidence. I also work well with younger students who want to prepare early for GCSE success.
