About Luke
I was born in Taiwan, studied in the US, and have worked as an engineer and technical project manager in Asia and the UK for over 20 years. My background is in electronics and product development — but one of the things I’ve enjoyed most is helping people understand difficult ideas in clear, simple ways. I’ve tutored my own daughter in Maths and Science and found it rewarding to see her grow in confidence. That made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can help a student break through something they’ve been struggling with. I want to tutor because I know what it’s like to feel stuck — and how empowering it is when things finally click. I’m calm, patient, and I take pride in helping others succeed.

I help students really _understand_ Maths and Physics — not just memorise formulae or cram for exams. I’ve got a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California, and over 20 years of experience working in engineering and project leadership across the UK and Asia. I tutor GCSE students who want to build confidence, catch up on tricky topics, or push ahead and get top grades. Whether you’re struggling or just want to go deeper, I’ll meet you where you are. Lessons are relaxed, focused, and tailored to your pace — I’m patient, and I explain things clearly. I use real-world examples where possible, to help the ideas stick. The first lesson is discounted and gives us a chance to figure out your goals and learning style — then we’ll build a plan that actually works for you.
