About Omar

I am a patient and dedicated Maths and Science tutor currently studying Medicine at university. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels with top grades, I understand exactly what students need in order to succeed in modern exams and build genuine confidence in their subjects.
I achieved Grade 9s in all 9 of my GCSE subjects, including Maths and the Sciences, before going on to achieve 4 A grades at A-Level in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and History. My recent experience with these qualifications allows me to teach students not only the content itself, but also the revision strategies, exam technique and problem-solving skills that helped me achieve these results.
I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience working with young people, including volunteering through the Duke of Edinburgh Award. One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is communication — I make sure students fully understand a topic before moving on, rather than simply memorising information. I know that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual student’s pace, strengths and areas for improvement.
My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging and interactive. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence without feeling judged or pressured. I particularly enjoy helping students who may initially struggle with confidence in Maths or Science, as seeing students improve and begin to enjoy the subject is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring for me.
Alongside helping students improve academically, I also focus on building strong study habits, logical thinking and independent learning skills that benefit them beyond exams. I believe the best progress comes from consistency, patience and clear understanding, and I work closely with students to make difficult topics feel much simpler and more approachable.
Lessons are fully tailored to the student’s needs and can focus on content review, homework support, exam preparation, revision planning or mastering difficult topics. I teach online using platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet depending on student preference, and I am flexible in my teaching approach to ensure lessons remain effective and comfortable for each learner.
All students I have worked with have shown clear improvement in both confidence and grades from our lessons. As a medical student with an Enhanced DBS check, I understand the importance of professionalism, reliability and creating a positive learning environment where students can achieve their full potential.

At GCSE level, I achieved Grade 9s in all 9 of my subjects, including Maths and the Sciences, and I went on to achieve 4 A grades at A-Level in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and History. Because of this, I am able to teach not only the content itself, but also the exam technique and revision methods that helped me achieve these results.

My teaching style is calm, supportive and tailored to each individual student. I believe one of the most important parts of tutoring is making sure students truly understand a topic rather than simply memorising it. I take time to explain concepts clearly, answer questions patiently, and adapt lessons to the student’s pace and learning style. I have worked with young people for many years and always aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable, confident and encouraged to ask questions.

All lessons are personalised to focus on the student’s weakest areas while also building confidence in the subjects they already enjoy. I use a range of online platforms including Zoom and Google Meet depending on the student’s preference, and I can provide practice questions, exam-style material and revision support throughout lessons.

Alongside my tutoring experience, I have also supported students through volunteering work connected to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, helping younger students improve both academically and personally. I also hold an Enhanced DBS check through my medical training.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners. Every student I have worked with has made clear progress from our lessons, and I always aim to make learning engaging, approachable and stress-free.
