About Polly
I am a third-year Human Geography and Environment student at the University of York who has a passion for learning geography and passing on knowledge about the world and the current climate we are in. I have informally mentored my friends in geography, allowing them to improve their grades in GCSE geography from a 6 to an 8, and I was an ambassador for A-level geography at my college, which included talking to both parents and students who were interested in taking the subject. I would offer friendly and personalised online tutoring sessions, which would focus on trying to build up the confidence that students may lack in the area of geography, allowing them to finish High School with the grades they deserve.

Lessons would revolve entirely around you, in particular, the weaker points of the geography curriculum. We would practise exam questions and mini essays, focusing on the language and knowledge needed to get those higher grades. The best method is to understand the knowledge and then apply it to exam questions. Lessons would be an hour to an hour and a half to give time for recaps, a taught section, and exam question practice and a quick recap of the lesson.
