About Letitia-Leigh
I am a qualified secondary school English teacher (with an English and Creative Writing degree from the University of Lincoln and a PGCE from the University of Derby) with over three years of experience in the classroom.
Before working as a teacher I was privileged to work as a copywriter in Paris- but my passion for supporting others superseded the desire to write. After experiencing this disconnect I turned my passion to teaching and tutoring those in need and have the benefit of now turning to tutoring full-time to call this my career.
I see language and literature as:
- tools for students to communicate beyond GCSE’s
- effective manners to engage in discussion diplomatically
- an ability to identify techniques and bias in language

MY METHOD:
During our first consultation lesson together I will request a recent essay that the student has created and analyse the natural skills of the student alongside what they enjoy and areas for improvement.
I specialise in SEND and EAL support within my tutoring and love to find creative ways to maintain student engagement throughout tutoring sessions.
