About Sadiq
Hi there,
My name is Sadiq and I am a final year medical student - soon to be a doctor!
Teaching science is a huge passion of mine, and having achieved A*’s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics for GCSE, I feel very comfortable and confident to teach it!
For the past 6 years when I have been tutoring students across London & Birmingham for their GCSE’s. I believe that with tutoring, it has benefits to both students and myself, and so I really enjoy this job. I am able to enhance my communication skills, and further develop patience and innovative-thinking skills too – all which are important traits for today’s Doctor in the NHS – a career which I hope to pursue. The students will also benefit, as my lessons are tailored around their way of learning. I appreciate that students have different methods of learning, and thus it’s important to adapt teaching methods accordingly – something I have been doing and wish to further continue.
The field of science is one of my strengths, and so I would really love to have the opportunity to teach this to students, as it further fuels my own interest with the vast field of science.

Having taught GCSE Biology and Chemistry for the past 6 years I absolutely understand what students mean when they claim: " NOTHING WE STUDIED CAME UP IN THE TEST!" or "WOW! SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS WERE SO HARD OMG!! ".
Many students find it difficult to answer Science questions, in spite of them thinking they understand the content and have read the textbook many times. I believe that if a student thoroughly understands the content, and has it taught to them using relevant real life examples, or analogies, as well as interactive tasks, this will really make them appreciate what it is that they are learning, rather than attempt to regurgitate what they have learned in textbooks.
Such appreciation of content is vital, especially to the new GCSE specifications, and this is something I have been able to offer to my students for the past 6 years, and look forward to continue doing so in the future!
