About Dominic
Hello! I'm Dominic - a Mathematics graduate (BSc, 1st Class) from the University of Warwick, 2016. I'm passionate about maths and maths education. I educate at all levels from KS2, entrance examinations (11+) to GCSE, A-Level and 1st year undergraduate mathematics.
I'm interested in the learning process; everyone learns in different ways and it's important to invest time in every student's way of learning. I also believe in establishing the fundamentals - with maths the learning process is inherently cumulative, so it may be useful to revisit topics from previous years. At the start of the process we will establish what your goals are (for example, what grade you are hoping to achieve), and I may do an initial (but gentle) assessment of where you are currently.
Equally, if you're confident in your abilities and looking to be stretched, I'm happy to introduce you to more advanced topics (including undergraduate mathematics - specialising in 1st year foundational topics, and more advanced courses in algebra and number theory). I look forward to working with you!

One-to-one private tutor sessions conducted in person, willing to travel or conduct lessons online at the preference of the client/student. Sessions are 1-hour long. Lesson plans can be flexible depending upon the preferences of the student and parent/guardian. In some instances, students may prefer to use sessions to supplement understanding of the topics they are currently learning in class. Closer to exam season, we will spend most of the time on practice papers. Over time I will identify your strengths and weaknesses, and create bespoke lessons and materials to revisit fundamentals, or to stretch you beyond your classwork, depending upon level, goals and priorities. I will use a mixture of exam board materials (textbooks and exercises), past exam papers, and my own curated materials.
