About Naima
I have always been into my studies, and very passionate about humanities subjects. However, I have unfortunately had to self-teach and do independent learning for as long as I
I am a passionate humanities student with a strong academic record in History, Politics and English Literature, achieving AAA at A-level. Throughout my GCSEs and A-levels, I have had to develop a high degree of independence in my studies due to repeated disruptions in teaching. While this was challenging, it taught me how to identify weaknesses, find effective ways to learn independently, and understand what is required to produce strong exam answers.
I know how disheartening it can feel when your grades are not improving, particularly when you don't have the support or guidance you need. However, I strongly believe that there is always room to improve, and that students can make significant progress when they understand exactly where they are going wrong and find a method of learning that works for them.
My tutoring focuses particularly on essay-based subjects and exam technique. I can help students develop their knowledge and understanding, but also with the skills that turn that knowledge into higher-mark answers: structuring arguments, analysing evidence, developing evaluation, answering the question directly, and understanding what examiners are looking for. Having written high-level essays throughout my A-levels, I have developed a strong understanding of what separates a satisfactory response from a sophisticated one.
Most importantly, I want students to become more confident and independent in their own abilities. My aim is not simply to tell students what to write, but to help them understand why an answer works, identify their individual weaknesses, and develop strategies they can use independently in their own exams.
Having experienced much of my own education through independent learning, I understand both the frustration of feeling unsupported and the satisfaction of finally seeing your hard work translate into progress. I want to give students the guidance and encouragement that I know can make that difference. :))

I am interested in tutoring GCSE History. I studied edexcel for GCSE- I studied Medicine Through Time, The Cold War, Elizabethan England and the USA.
In terms of lessons, it's completely up to you, depending on what you want help with. If it's content, then we can do lessons to teach you what happened. If its exam technique, then I can step-by-step show you how to approach questions, and produce model answers that show you how to achieve higher marks. If it's revision techniques and breaking down content, I can teach you ways to organise the content and memorise what's important. I would want you to let me know in the first session, and we can adapt as we go along!
