About Mia
I am currently a gap year student and I will be going on to study bioengineering at university. I have received offers from Imperial, Sheffield, Newcastle, Southampton, and Nottingham. I went to Harris Westminster Sixth form, which was rewarded sixth form college of the year in 2019.
I studied biology, maths, physics and EPQ at A level, my predicted grades are A*,A*,A, A* respectively.
At GCSE I got 9s in biology, chemistry, religious studies, and history. I got 8s art, physics, maths, English, and French. I also recieved an A in further maths.
I have previous experience tutoring younger members of my family.

In my tutoring sessions, I will be flexible to do whatever is most useful, whether this is catching up topics that may have been missed during online learning, teaching new topics, or helping with more difficult topics.
My teaching style consists of teaching 'mechanics' and then 'purpose'. Mechanics is the basic information and content of the topics, I will teach this using posters, summary mind maps and explanation.
Purpose is the practice of applying this knowledge in the correct way to answer more difficult exam questions.
