About Katie

I have worked in many different educational settings, teaching different ages and levels.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Galway University, with a year studying in Univeristé 2 Rennes, and continued my studies in the Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas in Galway after. I currently teach in a mixed secondary school, which I love!

About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic, engaging teacher with years of experience teaching a wide range of learners, from younger to older, and from beginner to advanced.
I am from a Gaeltacht region, and began learning French in school. This has allowed me to experience being both a native speaker and a complete beginner, which gives me an understanding of every stage of learning.

Deirdre

I highly recommend Kate as an Irish tutor. She worked with my son in preparation for his Junior Cert exams and proved to be exceptionally reliable and dedicated throughout. Her lessons were engaging and well-structured and my son found her guidance incredibly beneficial—not only in improving his understanding of the subject but also in boosting his confidence. Her support made a real difference, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families seeking a tutor.
