About Sandra
Hi! I'm Sandra, and I'm originally from Vienna, Austria, where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Translation & Language Studies in German, English and Spanish. I always loved languages, so tutoring and teaching was my side job from the age of 15. When I moved to Spain, I became certified as an English teacher through CELTA, and taught students of all age groups and levels at an English school called New English Centre. While living in Malaga, I got my Master's Degree in Translation as well. When I moved to NYC, it was originally to take dance lessons from my favorite teachers - I love salsa! I continued to teach languages, and am happy that I get to pursue both passions at the same time. When I'm not dancing, teaching or at the gym, I love taking care of puppies and kittens, and soaking up any little ray of sunshine I can get. Please reach out with any questions you might have!

Language lessons should never be boring! No matter your age or level - we will make learning fun, practical, and playful.
Typical lessons start with an introduction: you will learn fundamental expressions that allow you to have a simple conversation about your life.
From there, we will move on to the body of the lesson - covering your most important grammar, vocabulary, as well as listening and/or writing practice. You will get small tasks for homework to ensure you get the practice you need to further your knowledge.
Each lesson will include some kind of playful element, like a quick round of vocabulary bingo or charades.
