About Fanny

Born and raised amongst the crops and cobblestones of Picardie (France), my formal education includes an undergraduate diploma in Art History and a Bachelor's in communication. Building on my love for language, I obtained the English-to-French translation certificate from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. My language skills and aptitude for deepening connections across communities are at the heart of my work as a tutor and translator. I live in the East end of Toronto with my partner, our amazing son and adorable French water dog. I love reading, traveling and spending time in the great outdoors.

About the lesson

Shaping a lifelong appreciation for the French language and culture is what I strive for. I teach grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, and will integrate worksheets into the lessons. I also believe there is much more to learning a language, and that culture is the heartbeat of language. French has many heartbeats, and as a translator and well-seasoned traveler, I endeavor to incorporate that pulse into my lessons to make them engaging. Whether you are a parent looking for support for your child, a student needing help getting through an exam, or a fully grown person wanting to stay inspired, I strive to help you reach your goals. Songs, games, poetry for kids, current events articles for adults, and vice versa; I personalize lesson plans based on interests and learning style.
