About Nida
I am a passionate and caring Phonics Teacher who loves helping young children learn to read with confidence and joy. I believe every child can become a successful reader with the right support, patience, and fun learning activities. I want to teach because I enjoy working with children and helping them build a strong foundation in reading and speaking. Seeing children recognize sounds, blend words, and read independently makes me happy and motivated.

Action & Sound Practice
Teacher says sound → children do action:
S – “ssss” like a snake
A – “a-a-apple”
T – tap hands “t-t-t”
P – puff air “p-p-p”
I – “i-i-ink” ️
N – touch nose “n-n-n”
Introduction Activity (10 mins)
Show flashcards one by one.
Ask:
What letter is this?
What sound does it make?
Can you think of a word starting with this sound?
Example Words
S – sun, snake
A – ant, apple
T – tiger, tap
P – pen, pot
I – insect, igloo
N – net, nose
Phonics Song (5 mins)
Sing sounds with actions.
Example: “ssss says snake,
a-a says apple,
t-t says tap!”
(Repeat with all letters.)
️ Main Activity (10 mins)
1. Sound Hunt
Children find objects/pictures in class:
S → spoon
P → pencil
N → notebook
2. Blending Practice
Teacher blends slowly:
s-a-t → sat
p-i-n → pin
t-a-p → tap
Children repeat together.
