About Penelope
I enjoy teaching all students (K-12) and I feel most successful with those who struggle or are discouraged. Although I was not a perfect student, a few special teachers helped me to find my strengths. I could excel enough with my passions that I felt school was a way to fulfill my goals, I found joy in outside activities and realized school provided many of those. I remain convinced that FUN is a requirement to conquering even difficult subjects.

I have 37 years teaching all elementary curriculum subjects. I believe in using enjoyable methods and students best learning methods to achieve success.
After I introduce myself and learn a bit about them, I will start by helping my client figure out how he/she learns best. A few moments may be spent talking about what outcomes are desired and the student's motivation for learning this.
I like to show a few examples of how amazing using natural modes of learning can be. It's exciting for adults to become aware of these abilities, as well!
