About Bethan
I am from Newcastle in the UK and am now living in Christchurch, New Zealand. In August 2023 I completed a CELTA course, the most widely recognized qualification for teaching English as a foreign language around the world. I have taught all levels of learners in a class setting and have now discovered the joy of tutoring. I love hiking, reading classic English literature (Tess of the D'Urbervilles is my favorite book - ask me about it!) and sewing together clothes from op shops.

If you want to learn and practice English, whether that's speaking one-to-one, brushing up on grammar, reading or writing, you're in the right place! I am a CELTA-qualified (TEFL) English tutor ready to teach you everything you want to know about the English language. My goal is always to teach you useful and meaningful language so you are ready to connect with people and have some fun along the way. Typical lessons are 40-60 minutes long and include online games, quizzes and plenty of chance to practice what you've learned with me! I teach beginners all the way to advanced learners.
