About Amponsah
Hello! I’m Amponsah, an experienced tutor specialising in teaching English to young learners. I create interactive lessons that help young learners build strong foundations in English. I believe that learning should be joyful, so each lesson is designed to keep students excited and engaged. I am driven by the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child's educational journey. I believe that young children learn best through play, interaction, and making connections to real-life experiences. My teaching approach is centred on a play-based methodology which makes learning fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. I incorporate storytelling, songs, games, and hands-on activities to help children grasp phonics, reading, speaking, and writing skills naturally. I also ensure that every lesson plan reflects the child’s learning style and helps them meet their learning goals. Each lesson typically lasts 35 to 50 minutes, depending on the child's age and attention span. Sessions include a mix of interactive activities, guided practice, and opportunities for children to explore language through play. I also provide parents with simple activities to reinforce learning at home. I have extensive experience in Early Years and KS1-2, working with children aged 3-10. I hold a Master’s in English and Education Management from Coventry University and I am currently completing a Level 5 Trinity Cert TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I specialise in tutoring young learners aged 3-10, helping them build a strong foundation in English (speaking, reading and writing). My lessons are ideal for: - Children learning phonics and early literacy skills - Young learners needing support with reading and writing - Non-native English speakers developing language skills - Parents looking for a fun, interactive approach to learning
