About Dan
My journey into the world of science began at King's College London, where I obtained a 1st Class (Hons) Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Biomedicine in 2017. Fuelled by a passion for science communication, I pursued further studies at Cardiff University, graduating with a Master's degree in Science Media and Communication in 2018, achieving a distinction. Following my academic pursuits, I transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where I dedicated three years to developing comprehensive training materials. This experience not only honed my expertise in chemistry but also deepened my understanding of how to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Driven by a desire to inspire the next generation of scientists, I embarked on a career in teaching. Over the past four years, I've had the privilege of working in various educational settings, where I've taught all three sciences to students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Whether it's breaking down the intricacies of chemical reactions or exploring the wonders of the natural world, I'm dedicated to fostering a love for learning and empowering students to reach their full potential. With a solid foundation in both academia and industry, coupled with my hands-on experience in the classroom, I bring a unique perspective to tutoring. My approach is not just about imparting knowledge but also about instilling confidence, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong curiosity about the world around us.

By fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, I aim to instil not only confidence in my students but also a genuine passion for exploring the wonders of the subject. Whether we're dissecting chemical reactions or unravelling the mysteries of the natural world, my goal is to spark curiosity and enthusiasm that extends beyond the confines of the classroom. Crucially, I am guided by the individual needs and preferences of my students. By actively seeking feedback and understanding where they feel they need the most support, I tailor my approach to address their specific challenges and learning objectives.
