About Georgia
My name is Georgia, I have recently completed my undergraduate degree at the University of York and am now pursuing a PhD in Computer Science.
I have some experience teaching, as well as experience working with children.
I really enjoy mathematics, and would love to help other people learn it.

The only way to learn maths is to do maths. Therefore, my one-hour long lessons take a split approach where the first part of the lesson focuses on teaching or revising a mathematical concept and the second part of the lesson revolves around practicing what has been learnt through the use of example questions. Repetition really is key, so I also provide my students with additional questions on the topic to practice after the lesson. I encourage the student to bring up any areas that they are not confident in, so that these can be incorporated into the lessons. I also encourage the student to speak up with any questions they may have, and check understanding throughout the lesson.
My lessons are for KS3 or GCSE level students.
I recently completed my undergraduate degree in mathematics, obtaining first-class honours, and have now started a PhD in Computer Science. I have experience teaching evidenced by my level five TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification where I achieved grade A. I also have experience working with children, I spent this past Summer working at a Summer Camp in New York for underprivileged children.
