About Melanie
Hello, my name is Melanie and I am a Portuguese tutor with five years of teaching experience. I am from Mozambique, and I have worked with students of different ages, levels, and learning styles. My approach is friendly, structured, and goal-oriented, always focused on helping each learner progress with clarity and confidence. I am passionate about education and believe that learning a new language can transform opportunities. During my free time, I enjoy reading, music, and exploring different forms of communication—interests that often inspire and enrich my lessons.

Our meetings are mostly based on conversations and everyday use of the language. One of my main goals is to make you more confident to speak Portuguese, as well as to equip you with the necessary skills to have more autonomy in your learning process. I put a heavy emphasis on student-centered learning and I'll help you achieve fluency by guiding you in your Portuguese journey and bringing real-life material so we can learn aspects of the Portuguese language according to your needs and level of proficiency. Here are some of the things we are going to do in our meetings: a) learn through music and books; b) read and write lots of texts; c) have discussions; d) talk about our daily lives; e) learn how to do things in Portuguese :)
