About Hassan

I'm a third-year Computer Science student who builds full-stack web applications using technologies including React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, FastAPI, and MongoDB.

I've worked on real projects that required more than just building individual pages — connecting front ends to APIs, working with databases, debugging features across different parts of the stack, and getting projects into a usable state.

One of my live projects is Moxup, a web app that generates polished showcase images for websites, apps, and other digital products. I've also built projects using AI-assisted development workflows, which has given me plenty of experience debugging code, tracing problems across a project, and figuring out when something that looks correct on the surface is actually broken underneath.

I know one of the hardest parts of learning web development is moving from isolated concepts to understanding how everything connects. You may understand React components, but not how they communicate with a backend. You may understand an API, but not how authentication, databases, environment variables, and deployment fit around it.
That's what I focus on.

I'm best suited to complete beginners, CS students, bootcamp students, and self-taught developers who want to understand the full path from interface → API → database → working application.

I don't claim to know every framework or platform. If you're working with a specialised technology, send me the details before booking and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person to help.

These lessons are for beginners and developing programmers who know some web-development concepts but struggle to connect them into a complete application.

You might know HTML, CSS, or React but have no idea how the backend fits in. You might have followed several tutorials but freeze when starting your own project. Or you may already have an app and be stuck connecting the frontend, API, database, authentication, or deployment.

My approach is: Map → Build → Connect → Debug → Deploy.

1. Map
Before writing lots of code, we define what you're actually building. We break the application into smaller pieces: pages, components, API routes, data, authentication, and the flow between them.
This helps you understand the system before individual files start becoming overwhelming.

2. Build
You write the code while I guide you through it. Depending on your level, this might mean learning React components and state, creating a Next.js page, building an API endpoint, or structuring a small feature.
The goal isn't for you to watch me build your application. It's for you to understand how to build it yourself.

3. Connect
This is where many learners get stuck.
We connect the pieces together: frontend → API → database, and where relevant, authentication and external services. I'll explain what data is being sent, where it goes, what comes back, and why.

4. Debug
When something breaks, we work through it systematically rather than randomly changing code.
We reproduce the issue, inspect errors and network requests, identify which part of the stack is responsible, and test the fix together.

5. Deploy
When appropriate, we also work through the difference between code that runs locally and an application that actually works after deployment — including environment variables, configuration, API connections, and common deployment issues.

A typical 60-minute lesson combines explanation, hands-on coding, debugging, and time for questions.

Depending on your goals, I can help with:

Frontend: React, components, props, state, hooks, Next.js fundamentals, routing, layouts, data fetching, responsive UI

Backend: Node.js, Express, REST APIs, FastAPI, middleware, error handling
Data: MongoDB, Mongoose, schemas, queries, connecting databases to applications

Full-stack: connecting frontend and backend, authentication concepts, environment variables, project structure, debugging, and deployment

Projects: turning an idea into smaller features, choosing what to build first, and progressively creating a working application

You can bring your own project, bug, assignment concept, or simply tell me you're starting from zero.

Before the lesson: send me what you're learning, what you're trying to build, and where you're stuck. I'll review it beforehand so we can use the session efficiently.

Free 30-minute intro
Tell me what you're learning, what you're trying to build, or where you're currently stuck. We'll identify the main blocker, discuss your goal, and decide what would be most useful to work on first. There's no obligation to continue.

Single lesson — $12/hour
Best for trying my teaching style, understanding one concept, debugging a specific issue, planning part of a project, or connecting two pieces of your application.

5-hour pack — $50 ($10/hour)
Best for working through one connected goal across several sessions — for example, learning React fundamentals, building and connecting an API, adding a database, or developing one meaningful feature from start to finish.

10-hour pack — $90 ($9/hour)
Best for students who want regular support while learning full-stack development or progressing through a larger project over multiple features.

You don't need to purchase a pack before trying an individual lesson.

Project scope varies, so I don't promise that an entire application will be completed within a fixed number of sessions.
