About Tara
Hi! My name is Tara Ravishankar and I am a recent Georgetown University graduate (COL ‘22) with a degree in Justice and Peace Studies, and I’ll be starting my master’s at Columbia University’s School of Social Work this fall. I have four years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in Washington, DC during my time at Georgetown, and spent two years working full-time at the Washington School for Girls, where I led small group sessions and supported students as a learning specialist. The college application process can be daunting, especially with so many moving parts. Between college tours, FAFSA, essays, and so much more, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the process. As someone who has been through it (twice now) and has come out of it successfully, I want to provide services for other bright and hardworking students who need a little direction to reach their full potential.
