About Maina
Hello,
My name is Esther, and I am a graduate in economics and statistics with a passion for mathematics.
I have both learned and taught at primary and secondary levels, which has given me a deep understanding of how students think and where they often struggle.
I enjoy teaching because I believe mathematics builds confidence, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills that are useful in everyday life.
My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to improve.

I believe every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance and support.
I start by understanding the student's current level and learning style, then tailor lessons to match their needs.
My lessons last 60 mins, which allows enough time to explain concepts clearly, practice questions together, and review understanding.
For younger primary students, I can adjust to 45 mins to maintain focus. longer sessions are also available for exam preparations.
I hold a bachelor's degree in economics and statistics, which has given me strong analytical and problem-solving skills. My academic background allows me to teach mathematics with clear logic and structured explanations.
My lessons are suitable for:
Students who may be struggling and need extra support.
Students who want to improve their grades and performance.
Students who want to excel and achieve higher marks.
In the following levels:
Grade 1-5 - Building strong foundations in basic mathematics, number skills, and problem solving
Grade 6 to 8 - strengthening algebra, fractions, decimals, ratios, geometry, and exam preparation.
Grade 9-10 (GCSE/GCSE Math Level) supporting students with algebra, functions, trigonometry, statistics, and exam techniques.
