About Uriel

What really motivates me is seeing my students achieve the goals they have set for themselves; I am so happy I can work doing what I love.

I have helped students apply for scholarships, international exchanges, internships and masters. I prepare them for exams, help them with essay writing and revision of the semester. I like to take the time to explain and give tips so they can work independently in the future and improve on their own.

I carry out conversation groups where meet each week and we discuss different topics of common interest. The focus is always on improving conversational and pronunciation skills. I like commenting when something was not expressed clearly or a word was not properly used. There is always a friendly environment and everybody gets a chance to speak.

I also deliver personalised Spanish lessons for keen travellers, job seekers, and autodidactic learners like myself.

About the lesson

In the first lesson we will get to know each other and set a serious of goals adjusted to your needs and wishes as far Spanish is concerned. Then I will make a schedule and we will be tackling them throughout the whole term.

During the classes we can learn and refresh specific grammar points, write in both formal and informal Spanish, exercise on common mistakes, learn new phrasal verbs, slang expressions and maybe discuss some "false friends".

I like to make a focus on real-life communication and work with proverbs, tongue twisters, short articles, podcasts or even videos and Ted talks that might trigger engaging debates. In these discussions I make comments on grammar in general and give specific pronunciation tips. The main aim is to put everything we have learnt into practise; after all the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
