About Karishma

I’m currently studying Medicine at the Univerity of Manchester’s and am in my summer holidays right now. I have also achieved a degree in Sports and exercise Science. I have A-levels in Maths, Biology and Sport Studies (A*,B,B). My degree required me learning chemistry to AS level standard so I am confident in teaching that too.

I have a passion for teaching others, and am a great communicator. I would love the opportunity to help students with their studies in anyway they wish as I also have previous experience needing tutoring and help understanding concepts. I also know what it’s like to not like studying either in school so I feel I can relate to and help instill motivation in students.

I am a very friendly and approachable person, and I am very confident I will have no problem making students feel at ease to ask me any questions they wish. I am a very patient person so can help explain things in many ways to help students learn and retain information. I believe that’s as well as having a serious approach to learning, it is important to make learning fun and engaging. I am a very enthusiastic and bubbly person so will have no problem engaging students. I also feel I have a very kind and caring nature which I think is very important when tutoring. Not only can I relate to students on an academic basis, but also as a friend.

I regularly go to colleges to teach students medical practical skills and also give them advice on how to get into medical school. I am very enthusiastic about helping others achieve their goals and give them advice on their future. I have been through the University application and interview process recently so am also able to provide help on the application process and any interview practice they need. I feel I can provide valuable information action and advice on not only medical school applications, but applying to university in general.
