About Jonathan

Hi, I’m a friendly and patient maths tutor currently studying Mathematics at Oxford.

I achieved top grades in GCSE and A-Level Maths and Further Maths, and I focus on helping students understand topics clearly rather than just memorising methods, while also covering enough content to improve their grades significantly in the final few weeks before exams.

I specialise in working with GCSE and A-Level students, especially those who:
• Feel stuck or lack confidence
• Want clear, step-by-step explanations
• Are aiming to improve their exam performance

My approach is relaxed and supportive — I aim to make maths feel simple and manageable, no matter your starting point.

I offer the first lesson free so you can get to know me and my teaching style before committing.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students build a clear and confident understanding of maths, whether they are struggling or aiming to improve their grades.

In lessons, I break topics down step-by-step and explain them in a simple, easy-to-follow way. I also help students develop strong exam technique so they know how to approach different types of questions.

We’ll work through a mix of examples together, building confidence and understanding so that on the day of the exam, you will be comfortable with all the required content and question styles.
