About Isabelle

My qualifications include a Master's degree from the University of Edinburgh in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering. I now also practice as a Power Systems Engineer.

I have extensive experience in tutoring ages 11-16 in Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Astronomy through an outreach programme by the Univeristy of Edinburgh. During my master's degree, I also worked as a mentor in a programme aimed to encourage young women into STEM subjects - particularly engineering.

I am a friendly and patient teacher. Despite having taken advanced mathematics to a higher degree level, it was never the easiest subject for me at school. I know what it's like to struggle, and am a firm believer that with hard work and perseverance, any student can achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

Hello there - I'm Isabelle.
Although I am new to this platform, I have extensive experience in admissions tutoring in both the 11+ and 13+, with an excellent track record of scholarships and admissions for my students.

I also have I have extensive experience in tutoring ages 11-16 in Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Astronomy through an outreach programme by the Univeristy of Edinburgh. I tailor my teaching towards the requirements of exam board specifications. It's important to develop both a firm subject understanding, as well as developing a strategic approach to answering exam questions. I understand how to adapt lessons to meet each student's needs.
