About Haruka
Hello! I’m Haruka, a native Japanese speaker currently living in Australia.
I love traveling, meeting people from different cultures, and connecting with others through language.
When I was in university, I ran an international exchange community with around 650 Japanese and international students. Through language exchange events, cultural activities, and social gatherings, I had many opportunities to help international students practice Japanese and experience Japanese culture.
I also have over 4 years of volunteer experience teaching both English and Japanese through international exchange activities and language exchange programs.
Because I have studied abroad and traveled to more than 30 countries, I understand how exciting — and sometimes difficult — learning a new language can be.
My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and conversation-focused. I especially enjoy helping beginners feel comfortable speaking Japanese without pressure or fear of making mistakes
Many of my students have told me that my lessons feel “fun and easy to talk in” rather than like a traditional study class.
I focus on helping students enjoy speaking Japanese naturally while learning useful everyday expressions, travel phrases, slang, pronunciation, and natural conversation used by native speakers.
One of my students improved from JLPT N5 level to N2 level through consistent practice and conversation lessons

Rather than focusing only on textbooks and grammar, I want students to enjoy speaking Japanese naturally and feel excited about learning the language
