About Hornus

Bonjour! I'm Julia, a native French speaker from France, now based in Abu Dhabi.

Having lived in France, the UK, Thailand and the UAE, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. I speak both French and English and enjoy helping children and adults learn French in a relaxed, supportive environment.

My lessons are personalized, practical and designed to help you build confidence at your own pace. Whether you're learning French for school, work, travel or simply for fun, I'd be happy to help.

Whether you're learning French for travel, work, school, relocation or simply for the pleasure of speaking a new language, my lessons are tailored to your goals and pace.

As a native French speaker who has lived in France, the UK, Thailand and now the UAE, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. I create a relaxed, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable speaking from the very first lesson.

My lessons are available:

In a quiet café

Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed.

For children, I use interactive activities, games and conversation to make learning enjoyable while building vocabulary and confidence.

For teenagers and adults, lessons combine conversation, grammar, pronunciation and practical situations depending on your objectives. Whether you want to improve your speaking skills, prepare for an exam, support your school curriculum or communicate confidently in everyday life, every lesson is personalized.

I teach beginners through intermediate learners, as well as French speakers who would like to improve their writing, grammar or oral expression.

My goal is simple: to help you enjoy learning French and build confidence with every lesson.
